Gaming Some Reddit Karma
Reddit’s “karma” system can make people do desperate things, including fabricating rare occurrences for upvotes. This user posted a photo of a carton of eggs, claiming they had all turned out to be “double yolks,” a statistically improbable event.
The community wasn’t fooled. Detectives found the exact same photo on a stock image site, proving the user had simply downloaded a “rare” photo to farm points from unsuspecting Redditors.
