The “no-makeup selfie” was a major movement intended to promote body positivity and raise money for charity. However, for the trend to work, the person actually has to be brave enough to show their bare face without any digital or cosmetic help.
One user claimed she was going “makeup-free” for a cause but was clearly wearing foundation, mascara, and lip gloss. Her followers were quick to point out that she hadn’t actually followed the rules of the trend, leading to a very awkward admission of guilt.
