This particular lie is almost sad because it shows a desperate need for external validation. A girl tried to make herself look popular by pretending that a “secret admirer” had hijacked her Facebook account while she was away from a library computer.
However, she missed one crucial detail: Facebook used to tag posts with the device they were sent from. The post clearly said “via mobile,” proving she had written the “admirer’s” message herself on her own phone.
