27. Carl Switzer (Age 31)
Carl Switzer, better known as “Alfalfa,” was the breakout star of theOur Gang(Little Rascals) shorts. With his signature cowlick, off-key singing, and mischievous charm, he appeared in over 60 shorts from 1935 to 1940 and became a pop-culture icon for generations.
Carl was tragically shot and killed at 31 during a dispute over money and a hunting dog in California. The shooter claimed self-defense and was acquitted. Though his life ended violently, Alfalfa’s hilarious antics continue to entertain new audiences through the timelessLittle Rascalsfilms.
