37. Moved into my new home and realized quickly that there was something in the air I was allergic to. Constantly coughing and sneezing. It took six months of guessing and checking; turns out the problem lived under the original carpet from around 1986. They told me it was dust/pollen/dead skin.
Top Comment: Feel you friend, our house had old mismatched carpet between hallway and rooms, we thought the old owner just got lazy and sold instead of finished install in the hallway.
Found out after we unplugged his 100 air fresheners hidden in the upstairs that he let his 3 giant dogs piss in that hallway, never let them out.
Replacing that was worth the cost of install.
