31. Reset the TPMS Light After Tire Rotation or Air Pressure Change

After rotating tires or adjusting pressure, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System light often stays on. With the engine running, press and hold the TPMS reset button (usually under the dash or in the glovebox) until the light flashes three times, then drive above 30 mph for a few minutes. The system relearns the new pressures.
This quick reset prevents false warnings and ensures accurate monitoring. Real drivers do it every rotation (every 6,000 miles) and avoid unnecessary shop visits. Proper TPMS function can prevent blowouts and improve fuel economy by keeping tires at exact factory specs.
