Parimal Barman held the record as Bangladesh’s tallest person ever at 8 ft 3 in. Born in the 1960s, he lived until around age 28–29 in 1991 and suffered from gigantism-related complications.
His height made him a local celebrity, but health issues limited his life. Barman’s story is one of national pride mixed with tragedy common to extreme height cases.
