4. Clark Gable – The Misfits (1961)

Clark Gable, known as “The King of Hollywood,” died of a heart attack in 1960 at the age of 59, shortly after wrapping shooting on The Misfits alongside Marilyn Monroe. He had just seen footage and agreed it was his best work yet.
The film was released on February 1, 1961—on what would have been Gable’s 60th birthday—serving as a final tribute to the legendary star of Gone With the Wind and It Happened One Night.
