Matthew Garber captured imaginations worldwide as Michael Banks in the Disney classic Mary Poppins (1964) alongside Julie Andrews. He also appeared in The Three Lives of Thomasina and The Gnome-Mobile.
Matthew tragically died at 21 from hepatitis contracted while traveling in India. His brief but iconic performance as the skeptical yet lovable Michael remains one of Disney’s most cherished child roles.
